Build Your Own Bar: A Little Space for YOUR Own Rituals
One of the biggest lessons in my own healing journey has been learning to pay attention to what I need today.
Sometimes that means resting. Sometimes it means getting outside. Other times, it’s something as simple as slowing down long enough to enjoy a warm shower and a quiet moment to myself.
Those needs are personal. And as Healing on Wheels Apothecary grows, I want to make room for yours, too.
That’s the heart behind Build Your Own Bar, a personalized soap experience opening with five spots on Monday, October 5.
A place to make something your own
When I imagine what I want this little apothecary to become, I think about the person on the other side of each order.
Someone moving through their own season of life. Someone learning to listen to their body, making time for themselves, or simply looking for a little comfort in an ordinary day.
I want you to have somewhere you can come to explore what feels right for you—to choose something with intention and make it your own.
Build Your Own Bar is one small way I’m bringing that idea to life. It invites you to take part in creating a bar of soap around your preferences, with a place in the rituals you’re building for yourself.
Small rituals have a place in the journey
Living with chronic illness has changed the way I think about caring for myself. I’ve learned how much I value the small things I can return to: a cup of tea, time beside the river, or the familiar comfort of something made with care.
A bar of soap can be a simple part of that daily rhythm. A moment to notice the warm water, take a breath, and give yourself a little attention.
For me, those moments matter. They give self-care a place in everyday life, even when the day doesn’t go as planned.
My hope is that this experience helps you create a small ritual you look forward to, wherever you are in your own journey.
Starting with five
I’ll be opening five Build Your Own Bar spots on Monday, October 5.
Starting small feels right for my mobile apothecary and the personal experience I want to create. I’m learning to build this business in a way that honors my own needs while making something meaningful to share with you.
Then, on Tuesday, October 13, I’ll be talking more about Build Your Own Bar in my next Tea Talk. Bring your tea and join me for a closer look at the experience and the intention behind it.
Thank you for helping this little apothecary grow into a place where our stories, creativity, and everyday care can meet.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you make your own.
With care,
Nurse TLC
